2021 Moving times for end of the semester and summer accommodation

In response to Taiwan Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) raised the COVID-19 alerts to level 3, the university is in consideration for the safety of students’ in student dormitories. It is crucial to have reduced contact and unnecessary moving about. Once the epidemic is under better control and is back to the second level alert, the new dormitory moving plan will be implemented. NTHU would like students to be patient and cooperative for the plan.
Please carefully read the moving schedule and restrictions below:
Condition 1: Before June 27th (including the 27th), the national level 3 alert epidemic prevention restrictions will be lowered:
1. At the end of the term:
(a) If the level 3 alert epidemic prevention restrictions are lowered before June 27th, then the deadline for moving in or out is at the end of this semester (July 11th) and is to be completed and checked-out by 12:00 o’clock noon. To reduce the risk of cluster infection, a check-out method based on district, county and city is available on the registration system (the website will be announced independent). In principle, each dormitory cannot exceed 60 people per day, and the check-out time is from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
(b) There are no charges that will occur due to a postponed check-out period.
2. Summer accommodation:
(a) The application is still processed according to the original schedule. The original student living in dorms will move out after 12:00 o'clock on July 11th, and the current off-campus students who have applied for summer dormitories will be arranged to the beds based on the available vacant beds in the dormitory.
The move in will be on June 30th after 12:00 o'clock, the summer dormitory will still end on August 31st by 12:00 PM.
(b) Summer dormitory fees will be reduced proportionally (approximately 20% reduction) and will be refunded proportionally to people who have already paid.
(c) Those who have paid the summer dormitory and want to give up the summer dormitory slot. Please apply for registration online by July 20th (the website will be announced independently), and the refund will be processed after the registration is completed.
(d) The freshmen application for accommodation and the alternate summer accommodation shall be processed based on the existing vacant beds.
(e) Summer camp accommodation (depending on the epidemic situation and school regulations) can still be processed from July 12th.
Condition 2: After June 27th, the level 3 alert epidemic prevention alert will be extended further
1. At the end of the term:
(a) Starting from the day when the Central Epidemic Command Center announces that the alert status is lowered to or below level 2 alert restrictions. The principle will extend the moving period deadline by two weeks. The registration system will be using another check-out method (there will be a new announcement on the website). The check-out period is divided into counties and cities (there will be a new announced). Each dormitory cannot exceed 60 people moving per day. The check-out time is from 08:00 o'clock to 21:00 o'clock in the evening.
Example:
If the closure is announced on July 3rd, then the deadline for moving out is extended to July 18th before 12:00 PM noon. If the level 3 alert continues until mid-August and is not lifted, follow-up measures will be announced independently.
(b) There are no charges during the postponed check-out period.
2. Summer accommodation:
(a) The application will still be processed according to the original schedule. However, the original student's moving in for summer will move after the deadline 12:00 noon. The current off-campus students who have applied for summer dormitories will be arranged according to the available vacant beds in each accommodation. Move into the dormitory will be after 12:00 o'clock on the June 30th, and the summer accommodations will still end at 12:00 PM on August 31st.
