Dear Students:
The application for graduate students to apply for dorm beds in summer vacation and next academic year starts on May 1st. Due to the adjustment with dorm beds, this year Dormitories Ya and Dormitory Ru are only reserved for option of original dorm and bed and application for preferred Dormitory is not available. The application schedule for currently enrolled students is briefly described below:
The application for summer vacation is 5/1-5/11. Application for single room is 5/1-5/5. Sequence number and preferred Dormitory will be announced on 5/7. The application for double room is 5/7-5/12 and the results of dormitory allocation will be announced on 5/14. All allocation of the above beds will be announced on 5/27.
For students previously living in singles rooms of Ru Dormitory who haven’t had the single room from accommodation draw but wish to continue living in Ru Dormitory, please choose Shiue Dormitory within the application period for double room. After having acquired the accommodation right, the students need to go to the Division of Student Housing in person between 5/15-5/19 to apply for priority change to double room in Ru Dormitory.
For students currently not living in Ru Dormitory, Ya Dormitory or during 2014 academic year but wish to choose Ru or Ya Dormitory, please select Shiue Dormitory within the application period for double room. After having acquired the accommodation right, the students need to go to the Division of Student Housing between 5/27-5/29 to apply for changes. Due to the limitation of dorm beds, bed vacancy will be given in random order depending on the number of students registered. Students who could not fill the vacancy can retain their original dorm beds.
