1. Dormitory Schedule
According to Article 3 of Dorm Rules for NTHU, Item 1, “Applications for dormitory accommodation are based on the academic year and arranged according to the NTHU academic calendar. The actual accommodation schedule will be determined by the Division of Student Housing”. This is hereby announced as follows:

2. Procedures for Check-in, Check-out, and Dormitory Changes
a. Check-in
Students may check-in the fall semester bed with student ID (For students without student ID, please use other identification) to take the keys.

b. Check-out
(a) Every person is considered as a unit. Please refer to the "Notice for Check-out" and fill the "Dormitory Property Checkout Certificate", take it to the dormitory administrator, and ensure it stamped. Remember to save a copy of the list.
(b) Students who fail to complete the check-out procedures on time, or provide false photo documentation during check-out, will be handled in accordance with Article 7, Items A and B of Dorm Rules for NTHU
c. Changing
(a) Students changing dormitory assignments for the summer or academic year should bring their student ID (or other identification if a student ID has not yet been issued) to the designated location to collect their dormitory key, and complete the check-out process as outlined in Item 1 of Point 2 above.
(b) Students changing dormitory assignments during the academic year should bring the “Bed Transfer Application” and their student ID to the service center to collect their new dormitory key, and, in principle, complete the check-out process for their original dormitory within three days in accordance with Item 1 of Point 2 above.
3. Dormitory Check-in and Check-out Procedures for Fall 2025 and Spring 2026
a. 2025 Fall Semester Check-in Period
(a) Students who did not apply for 2025 Summer Housing and new graduate students may begin checking into the dormitories starting August 18, 2025.
(b) Students may inquire at the designated check-in locations for each dormitory or the service center starting August 15, 2025. If the assigned bed space is already vacant and the student agrees to move in before the previous occupant's check-out inspection has been completed, early check-in between August 15, 2025 and August 17, 2025 may be permitted without any additional charges.

If the assigned bed is already vacant and the student agrees to move in before the previous occupant's check-out inspection is completed, early check-in between June 26 and 27 will be allowed without additional charges.

4. 2026 Summer Dormitory Check-in and Check-out Procedures
a. Summer Check-in Period
(a) For students who did not apply for dormitory housing for the 2026 spring semester, the official check-in date for the 2026 summer dormitory stay begins on June 29, 2026.
(b) Students may inquire at the designated check-in locations for each dormitory or the service center starting June 26, 2026. If the assigned bed space is already vacant and the student agrees to move in before the previous occupant's check-out inspection has been completed, early check-in between June 26, 2026 and June 28, 2026 may be permitted without any additional charges.

5. Dormitory Deposit
a. If the room is not cleaned (including chairs, desks, cabinets, floors, beds, etc.), a deduction of NT$1,000 per person will be made. For other items, please refer to Appendix II of Dorm Rules for NTHU: “Check-out Property List and Deduction Standards.”
b. Refund and Method of Dormitory Deposit:
(a) The dormitory deposit will be refunded to the student's account at E.SUN Bank, Mega Bank, or the Post Office, as registered in academic information system (the account must be in the student's own name). If the student does not have an account with any of these three institutions, they must download “校內傳票匯款同意書” from Division of Cashier website(【表單下載】→【傳票】→【校內傳票匯款同意書】) complete the form, and submit it along with a photocopy of the bankbook cover to Division of Cashier.
(b) If the student fails to register their own account or enters incorrect information resulting in the inability to refund, according to Article 5, Paragraph 2, Item 2 of Dorm Rules for NTHU, we will issue a check and send it by registered mail to the student's registered address. For those without a domestic registered address, further notice will be given for collection. If the refund still cannot be completed, the amount will be temporarily transferred to the school's special account.
(c) Dormitory deposits for the academic year will be refunded to the account in August each year; summer dormitory deposits will be refunded in October each year. Students are advised to check their account information or consult the academic information system.
(d) Students who leave the school (due to suspension, withdrawal, or graduation) should not close their registered accounts to facilitate the refund of the dormitory deposit.
