National Tsing Hua University Dormitory Agreement
This agreement is made for the purpose of the student ______ moving into the dormitory of National Tsing Hua University (hereinafter referred to as "the University"). The student agrees to comply with the following terms and conditions:
Article 1. In addition to this agreement, the dormitory contract of National Tsing Hua University also includes:

七、Living Agreements for Each Dormitory at National Tsing Hua University.
Article 2. The University will regularly maintain dormitory-related facilities, including civil engineering, water, electricity, and gas. If maintenance, construction, or force majeure results in the unavailability of water, electricity, or gas, or damage to private property, or partial dormitory facilities becoming unusable, the student agrees that the University is not liable for any related compensation.
Article 3. The student is assigned a designated dormitory bed, accompanying furniture, hardware facilities, and shared dormitory spaces and equipment. These are provided as-is, and the student must use them responsibly. Unauthorized occupation of non-assigned facilities, including but not limited to unassigned beds in the same room or public spaces, is strictly prohibited. Violators will be subject to dormitory regulations. If such violations cause damage to the University, the student agrees to bear compensation responsibility.
Article 4. Dormitory fees shall be handled in accordance with the National Tsing Hua University Student Dormitory Regulations.
Article 5. If any dormitory facilities are damaged, the student must submit an online repair request through the "Division of Student Housing” website to protect both parties' rights. If the damaged equipment is inside the room and no one responds at the door, the University or repair personnel may enter the room for repair purposes.
Article 6. For privately owned equipment not provided by the University, the student assumes full responsibility for its safekeeping and safety. If damage occurs or third-party rights are infringed, the student is fully legally responsible, and the University bears no liability. If the student wishes to place a refrigerator in the room, they must submit a "Application Form for Refrigerator Placement in Dorm Room" to the Division of Student Housing office. Placement without approval will be subject to dormitory regulations.
Article 7. To maintain dormitory security, the student agrees that the University may install monitoring equipment in public dormitory areas and update or adjust such equipment periodically.
Article 8. To provide a quality dormitory environment, the student agrees that the University may carry out large-scale dormitory renovations or upgrades. The University will notify students within a reasonable timeframe, and students agree to cooperate.
Article 9. Following major renovations or equipment upgrades, the University may increase dormitory fees starting from the current or following semester. Fee increases will be calculated according to the resolution of the Dormitory Administrative Committee's meeting (Formula: Total usage cost / Beds / 12 years amortization / 2 semesters). The student acknowledges and agrees to this upon signing this agreement.
Article 10. The University reserves the right to adjust dormitory assignments or terminate the agreement due to force majeure events such as infectious diseases, natural disasters, or man-made disasters to protect student health and safety.
Article 11. In case of civil disputes between the student and the University related to dormitory matters, both parties agree that “Taiwan Hsinchu District Court” shall be the court of first instance.
Article 12. If there are any unaddressed matters in this agreement, the University may amend the agreement and announce the revisions on the Housing Office website. If the student does not object within 14 days of the announcement, it will be deemed as agreement to the amendment.
The English version is provided for reference only. The Chinese version shall prevail in case of any discrepancies between the English and Chinese versions.
